Midpoint Feedback - Portrait Value Paintings
The purpose of a critique is to give and receive meaningful feedback to help improve your work.
Things to think about as you are giving feedback:
Facial features are well defined, without outlining (outlining is not necessary when changes in value are done accurate)
Face looks three dimensional
Changes in value are similar to that of the original portrait
Care and control are demonstrated in the application of the paint
A strong likeness is captured
Layers of paint are built up; the paint is opaque, not see through...there is very little or no gaps/spaces on the transparency
Portrait is convincing
