畢業後暑假續保GradCare

有鑑於許多人從畢業到開始工作之間仍需要健康保險,學校研究生工會Graduate Employees' Organization (GEO) 之前與學校簽訂合約,若是GEO 的成員(GSI 或GSSA)或是GSRA,且在Fall、Winter 兩學期都有擔任GSI GSSAGSRA 享有GradCare,則不論Spring、Summer 是否有繼續擔任職位,都可繼續享有由學校負擔的GradCare,通常5~8月健保會出現在4月薪資明細上,假如有看到5~8月的部份由學校負擔,基本上就表示有成功續保。此福利可能隨GEO 每年與學校合約不同而有變數,請參考GEO 合約,或與GEO 聯繫。GEO 建議就算不符合資格,還是可以在4/10 以前和系所商談延續健保。

  • GEO Contract Highlights:Summer Coverage: If you are employed in the Winter term and will be employed in the following Fall term OR were employed in the previous Fall term, your benefits coverage will extend through the summer, regardless of whether you are employed in the Spring/Summer terms.

  • 學校人資網站:If you are a GEO member or a GSRA and were enrolled in benefits during the previous fall and the current winter terms, you are eligible for university contributions during the spring/summer terms. If you are a GEO member or a GSRA, you are participating in any U-M benefit plans during the winter term (Term II), and you will be re-employed for the following fall term (Term I) with a one-quarter or greater employment fraction, benefits may continue during spring/summer term (Term III). To ensure continuation of your benefits, your department must confirm your eligible Term I appointment in writing with the Benefits Office by April 10. The cost of your benefits will be charged to your Winter Term II department/unit. Review your April pay stub to see if benefits premiums have been deducted for the summer.
