In order to receive a diploma from Tuslaw High School, a student must satisfy the graduation requirements listed below, and meet the state standards for completion of the end of course exams.

Computer - 1/2 credit
English - 4 credits
Fine Art - 1/2 credit (4)
Health - 1/2 credit
Financial Literacy - 1/2 credit
Mathematics - 4 credits (1)
Physical Education - 1/2 credit (Or P.E. Waiver)
Science - 3 credits (2)
Social Studies - 3 credits (5)
Electives - 3.5 credits (3)
(1) Mathematics credits must include 1 credit of Algebra II or the equivalent of Algebra II
(2) Science credits must include 1 credit of Physical Science, 1 credit of Biology and 1 credit
advanced study in one or more of the following sciences: Chemistry, Physics, or Advanced
Biology.
(3) Elective credits must include one or any combination of modern languages, business, career-
technical education, family and consumer sciences, technology, English language arts,
mathematics, science or social studies courses not otherwise required.
(4) Students following a career-technical pathway are exempted from the fine art requirement. All students must complete at least two semesters of fine arts taken any time in grades 7-12. Fine arts is not a requirement for students following a career-technical pathway.
(5) Social Studies credits must include 1 World History, 1 American History, and 1
Government/Economics.
