A blessing in disguise indeed! He lives in Sinapawan, Veruela, Agusan del Sur - a place devastated by typhoon Pablo in December 2012 and availed of the training cum production under the Cash for Training Program (C4TP). He took Masonry NC II and successfully passed the national competency assessment on April 2013. The training program opened his eyes on great opportunities for skilled workers but he felt there is a need for him to upgrade and develop another skill. Thus, when his father got an opportunity to work abroad, he had no second thoughts, he approached the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) and availed of the scholarship programs offered by the agency for OFW dependents.Upon the recommendation of OWWA-Caraga, he enrolled in ASSAT taking the course in Welding- Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NC II and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) NC II from November 5, 2013 to April 1, 2014. He successfully passed the national competency assessment of both qualifications.

Upon finishing the program, he went to Manila and tried his luck in the world of work bringing with him his skills in masonry and welding.

At first he joined the Gandara Scales Enterprise on January 8, 2015 but left the company on January 12, 2016. Because he has attended a training on Basic Entrepreneurship which is packaged with the Masonry Training under the C4TP, he tried his luck in a sub-contracting business until September 16, 2016. According to him, he has used all the skills he learned from ASSAT – Masonry NC II, SMAW NC II and GTAW NC II and he is happy for what he has become as a promising welder.

At present he is taking a class in Niponggo prior to his departure for Japan on May, 2017. Determination and the will to improve his life couple with his proper working attitude, at the age of 24, Albert T. Roz is on his way of fulfilling his dreams.
