12 ASSAT Faculty Awaits Promotion under NBC 461

Promotion of 12 ASSAT faculty members under NBC 461 is now on its way for implementation as the members of ASSAT’s evaluation committee successfully defended the assessment results on December 10, 2016 at the Zonal Computerization Center for NBC 461 located at the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) (formerly Mindanao University of Science and Technology), Cagayan de Oro City.The panel was headed by Dr. Ricardo E. Rotoras, USTP President with Dir. Edgar A. Sales, Regional Director of TESDA Region X and Dir. Rey M. Cueva, OIC, Regional Director of TESDA Caraga as members.

After a thorough deliberation and scrutiny of the documents presented by ASSAT, the team from ASSAT led by Dir. Braulio P. Dela Peña Jr. Provincial Director of TESDA Agusan del Sur as the OIC of ASSAT, was successful in defending the results of the evaluation.

Among the 19 faculty who submitted for evaluation, only 12 were promoted: The promotion are as follows: Associate Professor 2 – 1; Associate Professor 1 – 1; Assistant Professor 3 – 1; Assistant Professor I – 4; Instructor III – 4; and Instructor II – 1.

Print-out of the evaluation is now ready for submission to DBM Caraga anytime within this year. However, upon receipt of the advice and recommendation of DBM for funding source of its initial implementation, ASSAT can implement the promotion based on approved guidelines.
