As a child, Dante arranged his wedding, he would be married to the daughter of a family friend, but fell in love with another woman.
Petrarch
At first, Petrarch studied law with his brother, but soon fell in love for Latin literature and writing. In 1326, Petrarch's father passed away, and Petrarch left his life of law to pursue his love for literature.
