Obstacle Course
Obstacle course- to use in gym with the materials in there to complete a circuit or path in as little time as possible
Drone "Limbo"- have challenges to pass drone under pipes without touching the ground or the pipe, have rounds for the people who pass and have the pipe get lower and lower
"maze"- have teams fly their drones through obstacles getting towards the end, added challenge, use magnets on the drone and metal filing cabinets so that if you hit the side or cabinet you get stuck
could incorporate moving objects such as pool noodles powered by drills, swinging styrofoam "boulders", etc.
Retrieval
- Beginner- use drone and magnet to retrieve something, tin can for example, that's in line of sight and bring back to your location
- Advanced- " search and rescue" team of two can use drone and camera to first find something like the tin can in order, then retrieve it and bring it back to their location, for example start in a room with and have the can out of sight but yet easily retrievable, then have the team launch the drone, find the can, and bring it back
- Pick up- have washers on the floor and in a set amount of time attempt to pick up the most with a magnet
Scavenger Hunt
Q.R. codes- teams use drone plus camera to go on a scavenger hunt, finding items with a code, taking a picture of the code, then having the code telling them a clue that they can then use to find the next item and so on.
Races
have individuals compete to travel through cones or weave through poles, or other easy obstacles and reach the finish line first or in the least amount of time.
have teams compete to either fly one or each of their drones through an easy course in a relay type fashion in a head to head competition or in timed events.
side note- could have a tournament type event where a winner is crowned and earns the title of drone racing champion
Balloon Challenge
have a pin or other pointy object attached to the drone and the pilot must pop as many balloons in
