For details on radio reception look at Radio Information. This page includes information on which hardware and software to use.
- The hardware can receive the 434MHz electronics receiver signals (try Arduino tone melody to an AM receiver) and easy to catch FM radio stations (AM?)
- Question: Can we see astronomical sources (Sun, Jupiter, Galactic Plane) / more "exotic" man-made signals (airport, satellites, beacons)

- Has a good Introduction to Radio Astronomy slideshow - could be used for initial introduction.
- Idea: Build bipolar antenna centered at 110MHz for monitoring aircraft communications. Antenna too small, larger antenna is better as most interesting reception is at longer wavelengths. => Double size
