Absences
We excuse up to 3 absences each quarter with no point deduction (Participation points only-this does NOT apply to cardio days/mile days/HIIT days). For every absence in excess of your 3 "freebies," you must make-up the time you missed in class. To earn back points you lost, you can attend a PE make up student support session. All PE make up sessions are movement based so you will be required to dress out and participate.
PLEASE NOTE: You will need to sign up for a student support session with YOUR PE TEACHER
Which session should I sign up for?
To make up a HIIT, mile, bike, or cardio day, you will need to complete a TIMED MILE with your PE teacher during student support.
NOTE: Open Court Sessions cannot be used to make up a missed HIIT, Mile, or Cardio day
NOTE ABOUT Student Support SIGN UPS:
Please be sure to pay careful attention when signing up for a PE student support session. Students who sign up for the wrong session, will still be required to participate in the tutorial activity. If you are missing a run or a HIIT workout and you sign up for the wrong student support session, you will NOT receive credit for your missed run or HIIT workout, and will need to sign up again for the correct run or HIIT make up.
RAINY DAY STUDENT SUPPORT
Student support offerings are subject to change due to inclement weather. In the event of rain or excessive heat, sessions will be moved into the gym and modified to accommodate a larger group of students.
CAN I SIGN UP FOR A STUDENT SUPPORT SESSION WITH ANY PE TEACHER?
When signing up for PE STUDENT SUPPORT sessions, you must sign up with YOUR PE TEACHER only.
** Each PE teacher will offer multiple opportunities to make up runs, HIIT days, or dress cuts/absences each month. It is the student's responsibility to sign up for the appropriate tutorial upon return from illness, injury, or absence**
