Influenza A is present in all buildings. It is airborne, and contagious 1 day prior to start of symptoms. That makes this difficult to prevent.
We still have some stomach aches, and few with vomiting.
Tamiflu is available by prescription, for Influenza, in first 24-48 (latest) hours of symptoms. It is an antiviral that may decrease the severity and course of illness. If you suspect Influenza, call your Dr for guidance regarding an appointment.
As always, with any severe respiratory illness, please stay home if you are ill, and until 24 hours free of untreated fever.
School staff continue to disinfect their rooms frequently. Remind your children to wash hands or use sanitizer frequently throughout the day to help prevent and spread illness.
Sports teams are no longer using group water bottles. If your child has a water bottle they keep at school, please have them take home to wash.
If you have any questions, I am happy to help.
Thanks!
