Overall the high school students are pretty healthy. There currently is just a scattering of a few illnesses; including some viral sore throats, strep throat, or stomach symptoms. Strep throat is a bacterial infection, and does require antibiotics for recovery. If your student has been exposed to strep throat, or has a non-improving sore throat after 72 hrs, I recommend a Dr's visit. If diagnosed with strep throat, your student may return to school after 24 hrs of antibiotics, and 24 hrs free of non-treated fever. Please feel free to email or call me with questions or concerns!
Thanks!
