Today's Goal: Today students will be able to divide mixed numbers and express the quotients in simplest form.
Dividing Mixed Numbers
One step is added if we are dividing mixed numbers. Before you KCF you must change the mixed numbers into improper fractions. Remember, to do this:
Now: Keep the first fraction just as it is. Change the sign from division to multiplication. Flip the second fraction.
Now just multiply straight across. Numerator times numerator, denominator times denominator. Reduce if necessary.
