On this page, review the notes, go through the slides, watch the videos and do some of the practice sites. Take notes in you math journal which is shared with you in Google Classroom. Make sure to type the vocabulary in the vocabulary column. When you are done, click the "Take the Quiz" picture at the bottom of the page. BE SURE you are ready. You only get one chance at the Quiz.

Multiplying Decimals by Decimals
- When multiplying decimals it is best to at this point forget there is a decimal.
- Line the numbers up by the last digit (to the right)
- Multiply numbers as if there isn't a decimal
- Do single digit, double, digit or triple digit multiplication making sure to add the zero when multiplying by the tens place and two zeros when multiplying by the hundreds place.
- When the multiplying is done, add if necessary.
- Now place the decimal.
- Count the number of digits to the right of the decimal in the problem.
- That is how many digits must be to the right of the decimal in the product (answer)
Remember - In the example below, we are multiplying 10ths by 10ths which will give us an product with hundredths.
