Good Morning, Lisa
During the evening - I've been THINKING.
Some verses to throw into the pot!
(Joh 17:5) And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self
with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
(1Pe 1:20) Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the
world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
What was this GLORY that he had with God BEFORE THE WORLD WAS????
How could he have been FOREORDAINED before the foundation of the world?
How could he have been SLAIN FROM THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD????
(Rev 13:8) And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose
names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the
foundation of the world.
NOW WE KNOW THAT CHRIST DIED when he was SLAIN. So how do these
verses make sense?
(1Pe 3:18) For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for
the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the
flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
(1Pe 3:19) By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;
(1Pe 3:20) Which sometime were disobedient, when once the
longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a
preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.
HOW COULD CHRIST HAVE PREACHED TO THE SPIRITS IN PRISON???
I do believe that it is important to know that Christ is the WORD OF GOD.
(Rev 19:13) And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and
his name is called THE WORD OF GOD.
So let's go back to:
John 1:14
And the LOGOS BECAME FLESH, and dwelt among us, - and we beheld his
GLORY as of an Only Begotten from a Father - full of Favor and Truth.
So now we can get to - is there a difference between the LOGOS and the
WORD OF GOD?
Christ is the WORD OF GOD - but he is also the LOGOS..
So now let's go to:
(Joh 6:51) I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any
man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I
will give is my FLESH, which I will give for the life of the world.
(Joh 6:52) The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How
can this man give us his FLESH to eat?
(Joh 6:53) Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you,
Except ye eat the FLESH of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye
have no life in you.
(Joh 6:54) Whoso EATETH MY FLESH, and drinketh my blood, hath
eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
(Joh 6:55) For my FLESH IS MEAT INDEED, and my blood is drink indeed.
(Joh 6:56) He that EATETH MY FLESH, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth
in me, and I in him.
(Joh 6:57) As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the
Father: so he that EATETH ME, even he shall live by me.
(Joh 6:58) This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as
your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread
shall live for ever.
Does this mean that we can simply eat a wafer - of does it mean that
we think of CHRIST COMING IN THE FLESH - as the WORD OF GOD???
Just thoughts -
