A haiku is usually about nature, but does not have to be.
A haiku has three lines that are counted by syllables:
first line has 5 syllables
second line has 7 syllables
third line has 5 syllables

An Acrostic Poem is one whose lines all begin with a letter that when read vertically, spells out a word or phrase.
For Example, this poem spells out Kokesh ALC:
Kindergarten to College
On the track to the rest of our lives!
Kindred working together
Everything is in our hands
Solutions, Seatwork, Serious, but also
Humor and handshakes
And
Laughter and Loftiness!
