1.  (3 points) Read chapters 1-5 in the book. 

2. (2 points) Draw a picture (original art, NOT traced or copied) of one of the characters so far.  Label it with the character's name AND your own name, and turn in.  Use your best art skills.

3.  (3 points) Read chapters 6-10 in the book.

4.  (8 points) Research one of the Olympian gods from Greek Mythology and write an original (not copied) report, listing your sources.  WRITE IT IN YOUR OWN WORDS.  Write about what the god's traits and skills and powers are, how he or she was related to other gods, and what his/her personality traits are. This report should be 1.5-2 pages, double-spaced, and word-processed with perfect spelling and good punctuation to earn the total points. Remember, list your sources (copy and past the URLs or the titles of the books you used).  You should have at least three sources.  Links provided to help you get started in your search. 

5.  (3 points) Read chapters 11-16 in the book.

6.  (4 points)  Handwrite or type a character study of one of the characters in the book (NOT one of the gods).  What does he/she look like?  What is his/her personality like?  To whom is the character related?  What are your predictions for what might happen to the character?

7.  (3 points) Read chapters 17-22 (end) in the book.

8.  (9 points) Final Project.  Design a project based on the book and get approval from Ms. Olson.  Links provided to help you think of something.
