First Week Blogs Posted!

With so many rising juniors and seniors gaining hands-on experience in the lab this summer, we wanted to share a few of those experiences and insights with everyone. As all who have done research know quite well, entering the lab for the first time can be quite daunting initially. For the first time perhaps, you're in an environment where people respect and treat you fully as a collaborator. You're given a portion of a project that you're fully responsible for and any gaps in your understanding of the field are expected to close in your own time. And in spite of any challenges that arise, research is one of the most fulfilling things you can do. Nothing beats the thrill of finally achieving something novel, after weeks, months, even years of mini-setbacks and successes, as well as the feeling that you've made some contribution to others.

In this multi-week blog series, we hope to share some of that excitement (as well as the downs) with you :)
