TOPIC: The Ensemble
RECOMMENDATIONS:
· Reduce the Company meetings to three per month – two business meetings and one creative session
· Conduct a formal induction into the Company and arrange for a formal event when members leave
· Craft a definition of the MET ensemble philosophy
· Clarify the process of becoming an ensemble member
· Develop a training program that includes both artistic experiences and organizational development
· Develop strategies to diversify the ensemble
· Develop a specific division of responsibilities for ensemble members based upon interests and availability
· Review the self-evaluation instrument and process to insure that it provides accountability; include yearly evaluation
· Develop member contracts at the beginning of each year
· Use individual production post mortems as periodic self evaluation instruments
· Infuse more consideration of ensemble into the development of the mainstage season.
· Continue to nurture ensemble members to diversity their artistic and organizational portfolios
