The Squirrels - Robert Askins - 3m3w: Scurius, the patriarch of a family of gray squirrels, has collected enough nuts to last ten winters. When a group of starving fox squirrels begs him to share his hoard of food, animosity erupts into a ferocious war. THE SQUIRRELS is a boundary-pushing, darkly satirical look at wealth inequality in which no creature comes out unscathed.
Travisville - by William Jackson-Harper 7m2w 1960s Texas, one city has so far avoided the tumult of the Civil Rights movement. Through the efforts of an alliance of black church leaders, a wary peace has been maintained with the city’s white mayor and citizens. But when the mayor partners with a private developer to gentrify the black neighborhood and uproot its residents, and a movement organizer from Atlanta comes to town, the Minister’s Alliance will need to choose between the nonconfrontational status quo and standing up for the interests of their community—and weathering the risks resistance incurs.

---------------- Some synopsis below -------------
by Hannah Cowley
5W 6M
Comedy, Classical, Romance, Female Creative, Royalty Free
While Olivia takes on various unattractive qualities to un-suit her various suitors (despite her frustrated father’s attempts to marry her off), Laura and Victoria are wooing each other – yet competing with each other – both in an effort to best Don Carlos. Bold Stroke for a Husband has the levity and hijinks of a Shakespearean comedy with the feminist attitudes of a much more modern piece, combining the best of Shrew and Twelfth Night in one tight, funny, uplifting narrative.
Hannah Cowley is best known for writing The Belle’s Stratagem. Her first play – which she wrote in a day, was supposedly inspired by going to the theatre and telling her husband, “Well I could write as well myself!”
Fun Home. Libretto Score. OBC Album on Spotify
Music by Jeanine Tesori Book and Lyrics by Lisa Kron
Based on the graphic novel by Alison Bechdel
4w 2m 2 boys 1 girl
Musical, Drama, Female Creative Team, Queer Creative
When her father dies unexpectedly, graphic novelist Alison dives deep into her past to tell the story of the volatile, brilliant, one-of-a-kind man whose temperament and secrets defined her family and her life. Moving between past and present, Alison relives her unique childhood playing at the family’s Bechdel Funeral Home, her growing understanding of her own sexuality, and the looming, unanswerable questions about her father’s hidden desires. Fun Home is a refreshingly honest, wholly original musical about seeing your parents through grown-up eyes.

Dark Comedy, Spooky, Female Creative, Asian American Creative,
Freshman year at college is hard when your roommate is weird, you’re feeling homesick, and a hook-handed serial killer is slashing girls’ throats. But if Lexi can discover what really happened to her high school best friend on that car ride to the movies, everything will be okay. In this existential slasher comedy, Lexi and her friends learn what it means to grow up – and it’s not pretty.
by Todd Michael
As originally performed: 2 m in drag; 3m; 2 w Lots of opportunity for any gender casting, or additional drag performances
Comedy, Holiday, Spooky, Queer Creative
It’s The Bells of St. Mary’s meets The Exorcist in this insane parody of Hollywood Christmas films. This is the story of St. Celestine’s annual holiday pageant, a ‘’possessed’’ fifteen-year-old girl, her long lost burlesque queen mother with a heart of gold, a singing priest with a past and a couple of nuns, who must deal with the devil within their convent school walls. Betrayal, lust and eggnog all come together in The Asphalt Christmas. ‘’The power of Christmas compels you!’’
by Paul Slade Smith
4m 3w
Comedy, Farce, Romance
Two cops. Three crooks. Eight doors. Go. In a cheap motel room, an embezzling mayor is supposed to meet with his female accountant, while in the room next-door, two undercover cops wait to catch the meeting on videotape. But there's some confusion as to who's in which room, who's being videotaped, who's taken the money, who's hired a hitman, and why the accountant keeps taking off her clothes.
by Marilyn Campbell and Curt Columbus from the novel by Fydor Dostoyevsky
2m 1w
Drama, Female Creative, Spooky, College
This new, award-winning adaptation of Dostoyevsky's literary masterpiece Crime and Punishment is told by three actors playing Raskolnikov (the murderer), Porfiry Petrovitch (the detective), Sonia (the young prostitute) and many other characters in this famous story. This "conversation on the nature of evil" is set in the mind of the murderer where he relives and explores, through the urging of Porfiry and Sonia, the thoughts, ideas and feelings that drove him to his horrible crime. The play becomes a psychological landscape which creates a thrilling journey into the mind of a killer and his search for redemption. Raskolnikov speaks directly to the audience at times, putting his case to them, so that the audience becomes another character in the telling. This is an intimate psychological and spiritual journey which seeks to unveil hidden dimensions of the human condition.
by Mark Brown Inspired by the novel The Ingenious Hidalgo Don Quixote of La Mancha by Miguel de Cervantes.

Comedy, College
Playwright Ben Eisenberg sits in a Starbucks on the eve of the first rehearsal of his stage adaptation of Don Quixote. There’s just one problem—he hasn’t written it. He hasn’t written anything in years, and his status as wunderkind playwright is quickly fading to has-been hack. His agent is apoplectic, the producer’s advance is long since spent and adapting a 1,000-page Renaissance adventure is beginning to feel a bit like tilting at windmills. But then—whether from a stroke of genius or a near-lethal dose of caffeine and Xanax—Starbucks itself begins to transform, and the errant knight arises in this delightfully theatrical and hilarious retelling of Cervantes’ classic tale.
by William Shakespeare
Classical, Verse, Drama, Tragedy, College, Royalty Free
by William Shakespeare
Cast as few as 5
Romance, Classical, Verse, Comedy, Drama, College, Royalty Free
A bout of paranoia and madness sets upon Leontes, the King of Sicilia who becomes convinced his pregnant wife, Hermione, and his best friend, Polixenes, the King of Bohemia have engaged in an affair. Thanks to a friendly servant, Polixenes escapes, but Hermione remains, is captured and dies after childbirth. Leontes sends a trusted servant to dispose of the newborn, but the servant (who is subsequently eaten by a bear) spares the baby who is found and raised by a Shepherd and his son. The second act jumps forward in time and sees the now grown child, Perdita, fall in love with Polixenes' son Florizel. And hijinx and meddling to reunite all of our characters... except the guy who was eaten by the bear.
A tragedy that ends in comedy.
