Modified Push-Up (Triceps and Forearm Extensors) 4th and 5th Grades:
1. Lie face down on floor.
2. Place palms flat on floor in line with armpits and slightly wider than shoulder-width.
3. Feet may be resting on floor or raised slightly off floor and are hip-width apart.
4. Push upper body off floor by fully extending the elbows and balancing on knees as they bend, while keeping a straight line from neck to knees.
5. Support body weight on knees and fully extend arms.
6. Keep torso straight, lower the chest by bending the elbows until chest is within 3 inches of the floor. Elbows should point backward toward the hips.
7. Push back up by extending the arms, but do not lock the elbows.
4th Grade: Girls – 8 Boys – 14
5th Grade: Girls – 8 Boys – 15
