Proverbs Application

        1) Are you walking in the fear of the Lord? To fear God is to have a awesome respect of who He is and a reverential trust in His Word and His character, and to live accordingly.

        2) The wisdom of the world is different from the wisdom that comes from God. Which is of more value to you? How quick are you, beloved, to seek God's wisdom in the matters of everyday life?

        3) What do you need to do or change in light of the insight and wisdom you have learned from these proverbs?

        4) Since there are 31 chapters in Proverbs, some people read a chapter a day, month after month. This is good as long as you do not neglect other portions of the Word and as long as you give yourself adequate time to meditate on these        proverbs.

                1) After chapter 9, many proverbs are only two to four lines long. You may want to choose one or two proverbs a day,  evaluating your life and relationship in the light of them.

                2) Or you may want to select a theme you marked throughout Proverbs, list what you learned from the book as a    whole, and then meditate in that theme. For example, you might meditate on what you learned about diligence  versus laziness, or about the tongue.
