How to Study 2 John (NASB)
Read through 2 John as you would a letter you had just received. Mark every reference to the author in one color and the recipients in another. Then read it again and:
Mark the key words: truth, love, commandment (s), teaching, walk abide (s), deceiver (s).
List all your learn about the recipients of this letter in your notebook. Note John's feelings toward them, his instructions (or commands), his warnings, and the reason for his warnings.
Record the theme of 2 John in the appropriate space on Structure of 2 John. Then record the theme of each paragraph and fill in any other pertinent information.
