When to notify the Nurse

Please call or send a brief note us to let us know if there are any changes in your child's health. In doing so we can ensure that the proper precautions and oversight can be taken. In the event an issue does arise having a "heads up" will help. Some examples would include:

• • General changes in your child's health such as new health problems or changes in old ones.

  • Newly prescribed medications

  • Surgery

  • Injuries that occur outside of school: bone fractures, concussions, etc.

  • Anything that maybe contagious: strep throat, flu, chicken pocks, poison ivy

  • An event that may impact the child's mental health: family or pet death, changes in living situation
