Students will experience a hands-on, inquiry approach to life science. Students will explore topics in scientific inquiry, technology and society, matter and its properties, the interdependence of living organisms, issues in environmental science, cell processes, heredity and biological change over time. This is a year-long required course.
Gateway Experience
This hands-on, inquiry-based course introduces students to the exciting world of health sciences and biotechnology. Students will explore the intersection of science, medicine, and technology, focusing on how innovations in biotechnology impact health care, disease prevention, and treatment. Through engaging lessons, labs, and projects, students will learn about the human body, the latest advances in biotechnology, and how health professionals use these innovations to improve human health.
