Gateway Experience
Collaborating in teams, students will work to develop a concept for a product or service based on research of market needs. Using creativity, different technology and their growing entrepreneurial skills, they will gain an understanding of how their ideas and innovations might be conveyed into a successful business opportunity.
Computers, Codes, and Games (8)
We are all used to having computers in our pockets, yet how many of us understand how these powerful devices work? In this course, students will gain a fresh perspective on today’s computers and their applications in our lives. Students will have opportunities to gain real-world skills and express themselves creatively while exploring basic computer science, web-design, animations, video games, and artificial intelligence. Students will work collaboratively and independently. Through a combination of storytelling, logic, and problem-solving, students will dig into real-world data to create an app that addresses a personally relevant problem.
