Cranberry Sauce |
I admit that this recipe comes directly from Cook's Illustrated magazine. Terry really likes it.
Mix water, sugar, orange zest, and salt in a medium saucepan (nonreactive) over high heat, stirring occasionally. Stir in cranberries and return to boil. Reduce heat to medium until saucy consistencey (slightly thickened and about 2/3 of berries have popped open...about 5 minutes).
Remove from heat and then add in orange liqueur. Transfer to nonreactive bowl

1 6oz pkg of chocolate chips (1 cup)
3 Tbs corn syrup
½ cup bourbon
2 ½ cups vanilla wafer cookie crumbs (12 oz box)
½ cup powdered sugar
1 cup nuts
Melt chocolate and then add corn syrup
Mix dry ingredients in separate bowl and then add the chocolate mixture
Let stand 30 minutes
Roll into balls and then roll balls in powdered sugar.
Store in air tight container.
