Chicken Casserole | Patty Foleys Chicken casserole
2 cups cooked chicken (~5 chicken breast halves)
1 cup chopped celery
1 cup cooked rice
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can sliced water chestnuts
2 Tbsp grated onion
¾ cup mayonnaise
1 pkg chicken flavoring seasoning (or McCormicks Seasonal)
Cook chicken in pot of boiling water with 2 spoonfuls of Wylers chicken flavor granules. Cook 40 minutes.
Combine all ingredients and place in a 9x13 baking dish
Topping:
1 cup of crushed corn flakes
½ stick melted oleo or butter
½ cup sliced almonds
Mix the above topping ingredients and spread on the casserole. Back 45minutes at 350°. Can be reheated in the microwave.
