We started our day with a quick survey so we could get an idea of where people are and what they expect. Please fill in the survey linked below if you havent already.
iBooks Teacher Academy Survey - Please do this first. It will help us plan future learning activities.
After the survey Stein led a short discussion on TPCK and we all shared what we're planning on doing. The video of our conversation is below. I missed the first sentence or two as I was getting the cameras set up.
After our break we just sat at the computers and played with iBooks Author while I (Steve) offered some pointers and answered questions. I didn't video any of that. Your best bet to make this up if you missed is to download the linked iBooks and then play in iBooks Author. Again, you need to be on a Mac to do this.
If you haven't already, download the following on your iPad:
iBooks - http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ibooks/id364709193?mt=8 Note, you need iBooks 2 or later. This means you need to have updated your iPad to the latest operating system version. So, try to download iBooks if it works you're all set.

Introduction to iBooks Author: For this portion of Monday we will be working in iBooks Author creating sample books. Below are links to three "Content Packs". The first two come from a site I found for a similar workshop and the third is one I put together. Please note that both in the content packs I found and the one I created that no effort was made to ensure copyright. When creating your own books you should be sure you have rights to all materials you use. Just because you "found it on the internet" does not mean you can use it.
