Dinosaur Week! Wednesday, May 13th Art Challenge
Today we are going to be drawing a stegosaurus. We will be coloring it with oil pastels and layering the colors on top of each other from light to dark. Then Mrs. Buchner will use a toothpick to scratch off the top layer of color to make the texture scales of the stegosaurus. Students in grades 2nd and above have practiced this techniques called sgraffito.

While you are at home you can still share your artwork with Mrs. Buchner! Here's a quick and easy way to do it:
- Ask Mom or Dad to take a picture with their phone.
- Text the picture to mbuchner@desoto.k12.wi.us or mbuchner@desotopirates.org. Yes, you can text to an e-mail. (Of course you can also e-mail it). I will be sharing art from kids on my web site.
