Summer School 2020
Thursday, June 25 Sculpting Your Character
It's clay time! We are going to start by making our character. You can sculpt it on your own or follow a video below. There is one for a male gnome, troll and fairy.
Clay tips:
When you are done using your clay wrap it tightly in plastic so it doesn't dry out.
Colors will stick together and will not come apart so keep them separate.
Make your character small. You have to use the same clay to make your house.
You can use a toothpick to hold your body upright.
You need to mix colors. Red + Yellow = Orange. Red + Blue = Purple. Blue + Yellow = Green. To make brown and/or lighter flesh tones watch the videos.
Clay will dry in about 2 days. It never gets hard, but feels more like rubber when dry.
After you are done making your character, make sure you wrap your clay up tightly in plastic. You will be using the rest of it for your house. Wrap each color separately.
