Dear Fifth Grade Students:

Please make sure you go to the Unit 1 page to read what you will learn in this unit. Once you read it, I would like you to read the lesson in the Teacher's Note Page to have a preview of our class lesson. Then you need to go to the Assessment's and Activity Page to complete the tasks on those two pages. Please remember as you navigate through the lessons I would like you to see all the videos and go to the cool websites to play games and practice the skills you need to successfully complete our unit. **Remember any words that are highlighted in yellow are linked webpages that you can click on to go to that site.

Tomorrow in class we will use grids and squares to identify our squared numbers. So for today I would like you to complete the assessment located on the assessment page to the best of your ability. Make sure to show all your work and thinking. After you complete the assessment I would like you to click on this site Nrich and work on squaring numbers. Then click on squaring numbers to play a game. Have any questions or thoughts ready to discuss in class.
