What is Math and why is it important?

Describing math is difficult because it covers so many things. Math is the study of structure, quantity, shape, and arrangement using processes, rules, and symbols. Math is about solving problems. Everybody uses math whether they realize it or not. When people shop, cook, build, travel, fix things, and even play games, they use math.

Hello my Fifth Graders,

When you come to our Math page you must always click on theDirections Page in each unit before you begin your tasks and games. The navigation for the subpages in each unit would be on the bottom of the page. The Directions Page is not always the first one you can click on, therefore, make sure you find it first. This is so you can practice to navigate and get around on the net especially when you are researching for special assignments. Remember navigating to get to the correct page we need is not alway easy, so here you will practice as you navigate through my website. Good luck and have fun learning.
