AP US History is one of the six advanced placement courses offered in the Social Studies Department. AP US History will meet the junior year requirement for one full year of American History. In AP US History you will investigate the major events, accomplishments, and individuals that have shaped America. AP US History will trace the development of the United States from approximately 1491 to the present day. AP US History will develop high level literacy and critical thinking skills as students learn to read and analyze primary sources, write, and discuss at a college level.
