American Studies meets the junior year requirement for Social Studies. Students in American Studies will enjoy a double period with the English Department, meaning they will participate in American History one period and English the other period. American Studies will earn a required Social Studies credit and a required English credit. In order to accomplish this, American Studies courses are team taught with a US History teacher and an English teacher. American Studies offers an alternative and unique experience for students.
