Our journey begins tomorrow at our first lunch meeting in the gym. I am very excited to be taking 300 students from our campus to enjoy the wonders of Yosemite where they will learn more about themselves, each other and the world around them in one week than they learn in a month in school. I can't explain to you how much you are going to love this experience. It takes some work, but it is worth it. I hope you have had a chance to look at the pictures from prior years or maybe even looked at the older trip blogs.
You and your parents are probably pouring over the forms, looking for the purple forms that are due by Friday, December 14. Many of you have turned them in, others are still looking for them in their homes. Parents picked up the packet at the meeting or in the office when the checks were turned in. This first packet can be completed in a few minutes at home. There are a few signatures, and you can use the check off sheet on the front to check that you have done it correctly. The strangest form in this section is the last Tan sheet. Don't work about any section that is not in the grey box; NatureBridge will complete those. You can drop them off in room 3 anytime before the end of school on Friday. The yellow form packet is not due until January 17.
Mr. Esparza is handling the water bottles from room 8 at lunch. Bring your receipt to pick up a bottle you paid for, or bring $10 to buy one.
Lunch meetings will be brief but it takes some practice to handle the crowd. Please be patient and follow all instructions. It will be easier for all of us. Don't forget to pack a lunch every Thursday since there is not time to hit the lunch line.
If you are a parent thinking about chaperoning, please send your letter to alarid-enright_mary@cusdk8.org before the Winter break. We will confirm in January.
