For families that requested a partial refund of tuition for the trip, I wanted to summarize the status of those refunds.
1. Every Refund Request for CMS was sent to the District office on April 14. (One week past the the deadline for submission to include time for processing at CMS).
2. All Refund Requests were recorded on a document that CMS and DO share to keep track of status of the request.
3. On April 28, the current status of the Requests is SUBMITTED.
This means that at this point the district office has not processed the refunds yet.
This year due to unusual weather conditions and some changes in the trip for Hyde and Miller Middle schools, the district office is processing more than 100 refund requests over and above the refund requests that each school submitted.
I will continue to monitor the status, and the district office and I appreciate your patience as the process unfolds. I would expect that the refunds should be complete in early May.
