We have collected almost all the funds from families and we want to again thank all the families that were able to contribute more that $650 to not only pay for their child, but also support this trip for all students regardless of their ability to pay. This is a wonderful experience that we don't want anyone to miss.
I write this on January 17, just before the MLK weekend, and I can see that I have most if not all the medical forms. (The stack is about 10 inches tall.) I will be recording this information into our database shortly. Thank you for taking the time to complete those so carefully. If you have changes in the medical or insurance status, please reprint the forms and resubmit them.
You might be wondering what we have been discussing at our lunch meetings, I encourage you to view the slide presentations on the web site to get an idea of our topics. The meeting today for example discussed the typical day and the most common questions from students. If you have questions, another place to start is to look at our FAQ page.
We will be opening the lending closet in the next week or two. I will announce that at the lunch meeting so everyone has equal opportunity to pick up any items. There are still a few water bottles to be picked up and a few that are for sale. Please have students drop by Mr. Esparza's room, room 8, to take care of that.
Information regarding drop off of medication, departure information and other very important details will be forth coming. I hope you have all placed our departure date, March 10, the first day of daylight savings time, on your calendar.
