Assam (India) - Facilitating the CLCP at scale

The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) with support from the International Initiative for Impact Evaluation (3ie) are undertaking an impact evaluation of the Constellation’s SALT approach for community involvement in increasing immunization coverage in three districts of Assam in India.

Rituu B Nanda and Bobby Zachariah, with the support of Mohamed Rafique, Marlou De Rouw, Phil Forth and Luc Barriere-Constantin and the South India AIDS Action Programme (SIAAP), and implementing partners, are implementing a one year programme in 90 villages from 3 districts in Assam, Northeastern state of India: Kamrup rural, Udalguri and Bongaigaon! Another 90 villages will be control villages.

WhatsApp is an interesting tool used by the local facilitation team in Assam and the support team of the Constellation to follow the story and serves to provide distance support.

During Market Place presentation, the team have shown the impact of this tool directly encouraging visitors of the stand to ask questions to the local support team using the Whats’App group conversation.
