House-Level Boarding

All house-level boarders must be recommended or invited by a house member, or come before Council.

House-level boarding rates are:

Full boarding: 80% of the central-level full boarding rate.

5 nights a week: 40% of the central-level full boarding rate.

3 nights a week: 24% of the central-level full boarding rate.

General guidelines (written for the boarder):

House-level boarding is a great way to eat cheap with interesting people who collectively choose to ride the ragged edge of sanity.

Note: house-level boarding will not provide you with seniority points or any priority in securing a housing contract.

It is your responsibility to make payments on time, get a workshift assignment from the current workshift manager, and pay any additional fees as determined by house Council (e.g. social fees and media fees).

Boarding contracts are for one semester or summer term only. If you want to board for more than one term, you will have to renew your contract at the beginning of each term when you want to board.

If you want a house key, it must be approved at house Council.

NB: Going out of town? If you are out of town, you don’t have to do workshift. You DO have to pay your fees. This is the same policy that applies to all other members of the house.

How to become a boarder:

READ ALL OF THE CONTRACT, then select a contract tier option, gather the proper signatures, and submit your completed contract to the House Manager. For questions, email hiphm@bsc.coop
