HiP has a file server for backup and internal file storage, called "HipOptimusPrime".
It holds music, movies, photographs, television series, and anything else people add to it. It's accessible from within the house network via Windows networking (fast) and externally on the web at http://QuickConnect.to/HiPOptimusPrime.
There are two shared folders: "FreePile" and "Archive".
FreePile is full read-write access for everyone, so add new stuff the FreePile.
Archive is read only. Stuff is periodically moved from "FreePile to "Archive", so most stuff is on Archive.

Additional Notes
Video playback may be be choppy if you stream content from the house server via Windows networking. If this happens, copy the file to your local hard drive first, and then play the copy.
Download speeds should be about 3 MB/s on WiFi and 30 MB/s on Ethernet. Thus, downloading a movie should not take longer than a couple of minutes. If your downloads are typically slower than this, please inform the network manager.
You may need additional software to play the video files that you've downloaded from the server. You can get the necessary software from either
http://www.free-codecs.com/download/FFDshow.htm (Windows) or http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ (Windows, Macintosh, Linux, etc.).
Please share your own content by uploading it to the house file server. You'd be enriching the house, while creating a backup for yourself.
The house file server is located at 192.168.1.76. DNS name is "hipoptimusprime"
