Helping Students Reflect on Learning
Learning without reflection is a waste. Reflection without learning is dangerous.
~ Confucius
Desired Effect
Students will reflect on their learning identifying the level of understanding and highlighting areas where they are clear and confused.
Purpose
The final step to be accomplished when students interact with new knowledge is self-reflection. Students need to reflect on their learning process and the experiences they had during the learning journey.
Utilizing questions such as these allow the learner to self-monitor their learning and assess their individual progress during the learning experience.
