By pilots request.
Tap above 'TIME' label to switch:
Time and daylight times are shown as UTC or system time accordingly:
Compass+coordinates panel can be now switched to compass+altitude. Just swipe on a bottom (or left side) compass panel to switch to compass+altitude panel or use a "3 dots" button:
By pilots request.
In case you used this "3 dots" button option, pick "What to show here":
And pick "Compass + Altitude":
Compass plus altitude panel will be shown instead of a "compass + coordinates" panel.
Again, you can just swipe between these two panels.
Another request from pilots was to show altitude in feet or meters, independently on other settings in the app. By tapping below the "ALTITUDE" label you can open settings just for this:
There are more items in the queue to make pilots even more satisfied, but this is it for the release 1.8.5 as its main focus was on:
All of the screens have been optimized for iPhone X. Some design/layout decisions might be still pending (especially where map is involved), but overall, I hope you'll find the app being quite friendly to iPhone X.
★ Pro Pack only ★
Features in 1.8.5 release that are only available with the PRO pack.
By popular request, map only view of a track is returned as a new option available via "view settings" button (#1) in the track view.
As all on other views you can use button #2 to color the track by speed or altitude.
All track view options as of version 1.8.5:
As title says, tracks and waypoints can now be imported from .kml files.
More information on .kml import here: .kml import - tracks and waypoints, from version 1.8.5.
There is no support for .kmz files import at the moment as I'm figuring out the best user experience for importing multiple files at once (mostly on how to report you back on possible errors per each file that might be linked inside the kmz file).
This is it for version 1.8.5.! I hope you'll like new additions. If you have a minute and like the app, I'll really appreciate if you leave me a word via the review or just rate the app! As easy as tapping here and leaving me a word or two!
Yours and wishing you many great and safe adventures ahead!
Stan.
