1.       Knew – I knew it was the right answer.

2.     New – These are new shoes.

3.     break – I need a break from school.  Don’t break the dish.

4.     brake – Hit the brake and stop the car.

5.     for – This is for you.

6.     four – He is four years old.

7.     know – I know the answer.

8.     no – The answer is no!

9.     passed – I pass the test today; I passed it yesterday.

10.  past – Today is present, yesterday is past. We walked past the store.

11.   lead – I will lead the parade tomorrow.  My pencil has lead.

12.  led – I led the parade yesterday.

13.  peace – Make peace and stop fighting.

14.  piece – Make a pie and give me a piece. 

15.  right – You are right.  Left or right.

16.  write – I write with a pencil.

17.  threw – He threw the ball yesterday.

18.  through – I walked through the door.  Are you through with your lunch?

19.  Your – This is your paper.

20.you’re – You’re going to study.  (you’re = you are)

2.     Weak – The boy was so weak he couldn’t lift the weight.

9.     It’s – It’s a good day. (it’s = it is) 

10.  To – Go to the store for me. 

11.   Too – He is too slow.  I want one, too. 

12.  Two – The girl is two years old. 

13.  Red – My favorite color is red. 

14.  Read – I read that book yesterday. I can read it tomorrow. 

15.  Rode – I rode a horse. 

16.  Road – Drive down the road. 

17.  Wood – The house is made of wood. 

18.  Would – Would you like to come over?
