Uncle Ulysses stood near the door of his lunchroom, leaning on his new automatic jukebox. While he peered out across the square toward the lighted windows of the Centerburg Public Lbrary, his face gradually changed from pink to a deep beet-red. It turned lavender for a fleeting moment, then faded off into a flickering grassy green color. Uncle Ulysses was not feeling sick, but he'd been changing colors like this for several days now - ever since he'd acquired his beautiful new automatic jukebox. The new jukebox had brilliant lights inside that automatically changed color every few seconds, and anybody or anything that came within ten feet of the jukebox automatically changed color, too.
