03 Cellular Structures

Cellular StructuresCells are made up of even smaller structures that carry out the different processes of life. There is a continuum of organization from atoms to a multicellular organism.

What should you be able to do by the end of the unit?
  • Students will be able to identify the function of each major cellular structure in a plant and an animal cell.
  • Students will be able to distinguish the differences between prokaryote and eukaryotes.

What questions should you be able to answer by the end of the unit?
  • How do the parts of a cell provide all of the necessary functions of life?
