Answer: Purchase the WileyPlus software from the publisher. Cost $90. You can use it for 14 days before paying for it. You will be offered the option to purchase a looseleaf copy of the paper textbook (additional $45) or an ebook that can be used offline (additional $22) (Prices in Aug. 2018)

I want every student to use the free 14-day trial to decide exactly what you need to purchase to do your best. Most students will benefit from having the paper textbook available, because it is easier to skim through and to review concepts.
The ACC bookstore sells a package with the looseleaf copy of the textbook and a folder with a code to use to sign up for WileyPlus. This costs about $155 (in Aug. 2018) and is non-returnable after you open the shrink-wrapped package.
What if I don't have money to buy the course materials before the first day of class?
Answer: Use the 14-day free trial period. It is crucial that you start the class on the first day and that you continue to have access at all times until the course ends. Make arrangements to purchase the materials before your free access ends.
What software will we use to make statistical graphs and do statistical computations?
Answer: Mainly we will use StatKey, which was developed to support this text. http://www.lock5stat.com/ . This is freely available on the web. We will also use some applets from http://visualize.tlok.org/intro-stat/SE . These are also freely available on the web.
What are the technology requirements?
Answer: While you can do some of the work (particularly reading material and watching videos) on some mobile devices, some of the work requires an actual computer - not a cellphone or a tablet.
Check whether your computer/browser is set up for this: http://help.wileyplus.com/browsercheck/
(See the requirements for using WileyPlus at this link. https://www.wiley.com/college/fdoc/wiley_plus_sys_rec.pdf or view it from here if that link isn't working: View Download (Updated Aug. 2018 and Wiley expects it to stay the same for at least 2 more years.) )
You are also required to download data files to your computer and then upload them to the StatKey software.
You are required to prepare word-processing documents with screenshots of your StatKey output and discussion and interpretation.
You are required to prepare some notes/comments pages by hand and scan multiple pages to one pdf file and submit that in Blackboard. . Any of the ACC libraries (Learning Resource Centers) have copier/scanner machines to make such scans which you can save to a flash drive.
What if I purchase the WileyPlus material and then drop the course? Can I use it again next semester?
Answer: Yes. See this page from their support site: Retaking a Class
Note that, in some situations, you may need your proof of purchase of WileyPlus. I recommend that you keep a copy of that.
