Technology I Recommend

Currently, my class is using Front Row. It is an adaptive learning program on Math and ELA for K-8 classrooms. The classroom teacher creates accounts for students to practice Math and/or ELA CCSS skills on-line. Students begin with a diagnostic and the program then create lessons that meet the needs of each individual student.

My class enjoys working on Front Row. It is interactive and fun. I am also able to customize reports to help drive my teaching.

From the website ReadWriteThink. A resource under 3rd-4th grade, part of Games and Tools. Bio Cube asks children to summarize information about a person for a biography or autobiography. The activity helps them learn how to identify and shorten key ideas. Students came prepared with their report and publish it on-line. The product is a print-out of their write up in a template, in which they cut out and fold into a cube.
