Students' choice of which Science course they take in 10th grade is very important; it impacts your options when you enroll into the IB Diploma program.

10th grade students who do not take Honors Biology will not qualify to take IB Biology SL, IB Chemistry SL, or IB Physics SL in 11th grade. This automatically disqualifies you from being an IB Full Diploma Candidate.

Students who apply to be in IB Biology HL at the end of 9th grade and are accepted for that track will not take 10th grade Biology, but will instead take 10th grade Physics.  These students will also qualify to take IB Chemistry SL, as well. Additionally, the option to be an IB Full Diploma Candidate is still open.
