Jannet Condie (August 4, 1831 - January 19, 1859)

Jannet Condie is the daughter of Thomas Condie and Helen Sharp. She was born August 4, 1831 at Clackmannan, Scotland.

Jannet immigrated with her family to America after the family joined the church in Scotland. Jannet married Joseph Sharp at Grove Diggins, a coal mining camp near St. Louis, Missouri on August 25, 1849. They had a son and four daughters. Jannet died January 19, 1859 in Salt Lake City.

Joseph then married Jannet’s younger sister, Margaret Condie on March 13, 1857. They were the parents of Agnes Sharp, who died at the age of four, Joseph Condie Sharp, and Cecilia Sharp. After the death of Joseph Sharp, Margaret, at the age of 25, had the responsibility for rearing her own children and the younger children of her elder sister.

Jannet is buried in the Salt Lake City Cemetery beside her husband and sister.
