I Saw My Friend Today

I am not truly a writer, I write as a hobby, just for something to use to clear my mind. However this is something that has been running through my mind since the morning after I heard of our friends departure from this realm. I hope in sharing it with you that you may have the peace that it has given me this past week! I remind you I am not a true writer.

Lost within the Sea She Loved

I saw my friend today,

She was not with me in a dream,

Nor in a mear memory,

I saw my friend today,

She was where she loved to be,

There beside the sea,

I saw my friend today,

She sat watching over me,

There within the azure sea,

I saw my friend today,

She sat upon the waves,

Smiling just for me to see!

I saw my friend today,

But simply I wish

She were here with me!
